ABOUT ME

Firstly welcome to Thea tutoring! My name is Thea Cooper and I'm a born and raised Londoner. I have a passion for education. My specialist areas are mathematics and physics. I gained my masters in Mechanical Engineering from Imperial College London and subsequently worked as an engineer. I know first hand how maths and physics are used in everyday life and enjoy using this knowledge and experience to enrich the learning process of my students.

I currently work part time in a leading independent school teaching Maths and working as a STEM Coordinator alongside tutoring. I enjoy seeing students and teachers succeed and am passionate about students accessing maths in a fun and engaging way.

I started Thea tutoring in 2007 as I enjoy providing high quality personalised tutoring to students across the world (thanks to the internet) from the convenience of their own homes. I love working with my students one-on-one to help them understand maths and watch their confidence in themselves grow. I’m so grateful to do what I love.

I am also passionate about making online learning affordable and accessible to all so am really excited about the launch of my online courses (watch this space) which will help support students and parents with their learning no matter what stage they are at.
